Axar Patel's IPL Auction Price
Axar Patel was first bought by the Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2013 auction for INR 20 lakhs. However, it was after the Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) picked him up in the 2014 auction that his career took off. He was a regular in the KXIP line-up and played a crucial role in their success. Ahead of the 2019 season, Axar was snapped up by Delhi Capitals for a whopping Rs 5 crore at the IPL auctions, making him the second most expensive Indian player that year.
In the IPL Auction 2024, the Delhi franchise acquired the services of Axar Patel for Rs 1200 Cr. This made him one of the highest-paid Indian players in the IPL.

Axar Patel has played a total of 120 IPL matches and has scored 1422 runs at a strike rate of 128.22. He has also taken 102 wickets with an economy rate of 7.49. In the 2023 season, Axar was one of the standout performers for Delhi Capitals, taking 18 wickets in 14 matches. He also played a crucial role with the bat, scoring 182 runs at a strike rate of 147.54.
