Fatal Incident Occurs During Rehearsal

On Thursday, cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was tragically killed when actor Alec Baldwin discharged a prop firearm during a film shoot in New Mexico.

Baldwin was rehearsing with an old-fashioned revolver on the set of a western when the fatal shooting occurred. Witnesses reported that Baldwin was practicing a stunt when the prop gun he was holding fired, striking Hutchins, 42, and the film's director, Joel Souza.

Hutchins was transported to a local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. Souza was also injured but is expected to make a full recovery.

The Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating the incident, and no charges have been filed at this time. Baldwin has expressed his shock and sorrow over Hutchins' death and has called for a full investigation into the tragedy.
