DD News to Launch New 24/7 English News Channel

Doordarshan, India's public service broadcaster, is set to launch a new 24/7 English news channel. The channel, to be called DD News English, will be available on DD Free Dish and other major cable and satellite platforms.

DD News English will offer a mix of news, current affairs, and in-depth analysis. The channel will have a team of experienced journalists and anchors, and will be headquartered in New Delhi.

The launch of DD News English is part of Doordarshan's efforts to expand its reach and provide viewers with a wider range of news and information options. The channel will be the first 24/7 English news channel from a public broadcaster in India.

Doordarshan Director General Supriya Sahu said, "The launch of DD News English is a significant milestone for Doordarshan. This channel will provide viewers with a credible and comprehensive source of news and information in English."

DD News English is expected to launch in October 2023. The channel will be available on DD Free Dish (channel number 52), Tata Sky (channel number 522), Dish TV (channel number 522), and Airtel Digital TV (channel number 522).
